The pricing information presented here is for people who would like to
obtain BBEdit directly from Bare Bones Software. Please note that at the
present time, all version and competitive upgrades, as well as student
discounts, are only available via orders placed directly with Bare Bones
Software, or with Cyberian Outpost. You can also order BBEdit on-line
though Cyberian Outpost's Web page (see below).

Please note that the commercial version of BBEdit is not available for
downloading, due to network resource constraints and the distribution
package size, as well as limitations of current technology related
to transaction verification. As network capacity expands and suitable
product delivery mechanisms become available, we will take advantage of
these to extend our means of delivering products.

Upgrade Offer Eligibility

for an upgrade price. If not, you must order using the Individual Copy
pricing given below. Also, note that when we ask that you provide items
such as copies of purchase receipts for verification purposes, you
should fax or mail these in; we cannot accept forms which have been

BBEdit 3.1 (and Apple Internet Server) Customers:
    BBEdit 3.5 is free to all BBEdit 3.1 customers. All BBEdit 3.1
    customers registered as of 11/01/95 have been sent an automatic
    update. If you have purchased BBEdit 3.1 or an Apple Internet Server
    Solution bundle, but have not yet registered, please send a copy of
    your purchase invoice as proof of eligibility. Offer limited to one
    upgrade copy per original copy purchased.


BBEdit 2.5 and 3.0 Customers:
    Provide a copy of your purchase invoice, or if you are registered,

Ordering and Payment Information

Orders should include the following:

    * Order Quantity:
        Please indicate the number and type(s) of product being ordered.

    * Payment Method:
        Payment in the appropriate amount must be made via check, bank
        draft, or money order, or via credit card. We regret that we cannot
        accept wire transfers or other payment methods from non-U.S. banks.

        Checks, drafts, and money orders must be drawn on a U.S. bank,
        made out in U.S. dollars, and be made payable to "Bare Bones
        Software".

Demo Version Availability

A demo version of BBEdit 3.5 is available on the Internet for
anonymous FTP from ftp.netcom.com, in /pub/bb/bbsw/demos or from
ftp.std.com, in /vendors/bbsw/demos; the demo can also be found
on any of the Info-Mac mirrors in the /info-mac/text area. On CIS,
look for BBEDIT.DMO in various forum libraries, including MACDEV,
SYMDEV, and ZMC:DOWNTECH, or use the File Finder with keyword
"bbedit". The BBEdit demo package is also available from various
other information services and BBSes; check yours to see if
it's there.
